The PCs persuade Passk to show them the way to Giustenal,
where the dwarf hopes to find a way to destroy the Caller
once and for all. He shows the PCs the silt Slicer, his
former silt skimmer, now little more than a wreck. The party asks around town for supplies and workers, but
they soon realise that the repairs may become very
expensive.
They end up accepting a job from the merchant House of
Shom as guards of the Firewind, the biggest silt skimmer
in Cromlin. At first they think to barter their services
with supplies,
but then Shallovar proposes to hijack the ship while away
from Cromlin. The PCs understand it is a risky
proposition, but they're not against the plan.
The PCs, together with Paask and Shallovar, leave Cromlin
with the Firewind an its crew. After a few days at sea,
the Firewind is attacked by the Dust Devil, a pirate crew.
The PCs defeat the pirates, and take advantage of the
chaos generated by the attack to take control of the
Firewind.
