PCs (lvl 9): Tak, Gardain, Haku
The party climbs the walls of the city, where they are attacked by a flock of razorwings, flying lizard with sharp-edged wings. When all the creatures are dead, they climb down the walls, and find refuge in a nearby abandoned temple, where they decide to spend the night.
During the night the Caller assaults them again. Shallovar is made blind by her temporary madness, but Tak manages to cure her with his psionic abilities. Gardain falls into madness, earning a creepy trait... he seems to find everything around himself very funny, and keeps giggling with no reason at random times.
Having recovered their strength (physical, if not mental), the PCs investigate the ruins of the ancient city, looking for some loot. They do find a few trinkets worth good gold.
They make way to the grand palace at the center of the city, when they are approached by a couple of weird humanoids. The creatures are covered in scales, with elongated snouts, sharp fangs, and wicked claws. They do not speak the PCs' language, but they possess telepathic abilities.
They communicate to the PCs they're searching for a ring, lost among the ruins. Their magic reveals that the ring is in Haku's possession, probably one of the trinkets he found during the party's search among the ruins.
The situation rapidly degenerates when the PCs realise that the two creatures, who call themselves Dray, do not intend to let the party leave as free men, but clearly mean to enslave them or kill them. The PCs kill one dray, and capture the second. Through intimidation and cunning, they convince him to show them the way to reach the underground levels of Giustenal.
