Sink Worm |
PCs (lvl 9): Gardain, Tak, Terric
The party enters the Great Palace, the seat of power of a
now forgotten sorcerer-king. They explore gargantuan
chambers made for creatures as big as giants, long
abandoned and left to the ravages of time. The place is a
silt covered ruin, yet a few trinkets can still be found
inside.
No intelligent life form inhabits the ruins, apart from a
few swarms of silt serpents. The PCs look around the vast
halls, trying to find a passage that wil lead them
underground. Their search is interrupted by a fearsome
sink worm coming out of the silt to feed. The PCs kill the
colossal creature, and continue their exploration.
A group of four dray spellcasters arrives at the Palace, probably looking for their lost companions (which the PCs killed earlier the same day). The party manages to ambush the dray, killing three of them. Unfortunately the last dray uses his magic to teleport away.
The PCs take a short rest, and then inspect the dark obsidian structure towering above the palace. Inside they find an arcane laboratory, and the giant-sized living quarters of whatever creature ruled this place.
