The party returns to Tyr, where they unmask Mingon, and report her to the authorities. They're rewarded with Mingon's former villa outside of Tyr, which they repurpose as an orphanage. They spend the next couple of months tending to the orphans, and getting more and more involved with the Council of Tyr.
During one of their visits to the city, they're summoned to an emergency council. On their way to the palace, a wave of psionic energy washes over the city, driving beasts crazy, and disorienting psionic users. The PCs are forced to put down two enraged mekillots, while Phatim notices that harnessing his psionic abilites has become quite painful.
At the Council, everyone is talking about the psionic event, each blaming a different faction for the event. When the Council concludes, Agis of Asticles asks the party to conduct their own investigations.
The day after, the party visits Agis at his villa, when they're visited by an old friend. The avangion Korgunard makes his appearance, asking the PCs to travel east, beyond Silver Springs, to recover an ancient scroll from a long lost library. Korgunard believes hints to understand the psionic event can be found in the scroll.
The party readily agrees, and they travel east. At Silver Springs, they deal with the elves tending the oasis, but they soon end up provoking the elves. Blades are unsheated, as both sides prepare to do battle.
